Pimp My Cart

Like our homes, vehicles, and possessions, it’s nice to adjust things until we feel they represent us just right. For some reason, humans like their things to be a sort of fingerprint, as it were, the customizable features we choose should be able to identify our things as such.

There are three major golf cart companies that specifically produce custom golf carts and manufacture the parts, kits, and tools to enhance and further personalize them. The three major companies that offer remarkable customization options are as follows: Yamaha, EZGO, and Club Car. Just by briefly glancing at the chart, it is easy to select a company that suits whats important to your desires while drafting your custom golf cart.

Yamaha
EZGO
Club Car
Pros:
·  Yamaha is known for various motorized vehicles such as, ATVs (Auto Terrain Vehicles), dirt bikes, and street motorcycles.
·  Name closely associated with extremely customized parts (for dirt bikes).
·  The most impressive feature about EZGO custom golf carts is their versatility.
·  Offers carts that can be more ATV like, street car like, or traditional for use only on a golf course.
·  They have a wide variety of interesting, practical, and fun features to choose from.
·  Also, they have support from big names in the auto industry.
·  Most widely known, trusted, and accepted name in the golfing word.
·  The name, the brand and the product are truly legendary.
·  The first significant modifications that sparked the industry of custom golf carts were electric and environment related.
·  Eco-Friendly
·  Club Car was the first company to begin customizing golf carts to fit the new electric golf car model; naturally they have the most experience.
·  Typical modifications include: windshields, ball cleaners, cooler trays, upgraded motor or speed controller (for increasing speed and torque), and lift kits.
Cons
·  Name not commonly associated with golf carts.
·  Not well publicized outside the golf world
·  Partners with Nascar, speed is not important on the golf course.
·  As an older and widely accepted company, there is little to no room for innovation. Older, successful companies tend to get comfortable and set in their ways.

“My Golf Cart is Cooler Than Yours”

Golf carts are more than just a practical and convenient form of transportation. Granted, their original purpose was to spare golfers the long walk from tee to green to tee; however like most things American, the more technologically advanced the better. That is why now in this modern age there are many accessories made specifically to make your golf cart better than any of the boys from the office or any other argyle clad golfer at the course. A few examples of the coolest golf cart accessories that make your golf cart way better are: stereos and speakers, CD players, iPod adapters and mini AMP kits. Here’s a brief breakdown to find the right audio accessorie fit for you.

Stereos and Speakers
·  Classic
·  Simple
·  Practical for golfers living in a golfing community
CD Players
·  Overhead, wood finishes are classy
·  Attention-getter
·  Fun for middle-aged golfers
iPods and Mini AMPs
·  This is the age of iPods, everyone has one
·  Trendy
·  Practical source for the specific songs and news you want at your fingertips

The modern golfers are a younger crowd, and therefore the newest of golf cart accessories is an iPod adapter with it’s own mini AMP kit. The iPod adapters are easily wired to the golf carts internal battery system through the stereo player if not installed with their own AMP kit. In most cases, it is better to wire the iPod device separately for a more user friendly control and access to one’s musical selection. Besides all the technical talk, it’s pretty amazing that a golf cart can stream podcasts for your personal enjoyment while out on the green. NPR while teeing off? Yes please!
The best thing about golf cart accessories is you can stay ahead of the game and impress your friends with how awesome your golf cart is. Besides, if you live in a golf community having a nice sound system is even more practical, for more enjoyable rides home, even if you finished the 18 holes with 143 strokes 71 over par. At least you’ll always having the winning phrase to fall back on, “My golf cart is way cooler than yours”.
